Biographie
Dr. Armstrong est une associée de recherche au laboratoire de recherche sur la sexualité humaine. Elle travaille aussi comme professeure à temps partiel à l’Université d’Ottawa. En 2006, elle a terminé son baccalauréat ès arts en psychologie et études crtiques de la sexualité à l’Université de la Colombie-Britannique. En 2014, elle a obtenu un doctorat en psychologie expérimentale. Elle a complété un stage postdoctoral aux Centers for Disease Control and Prevention à Atlanta, en Georgia.
Les intérêts de recherche de Dr. Armstrong incluent les motivations derrière l’activité sexuelle, la santé et le bienêtre des minorités sexuelles; elle se penche aussi sur les individus de ces groupes minoritaires sexuels.
Elle enseign Human Sexuality (PSY 3122) et Social Motivation (PSY 3109) à l’Université d’Ottawa. Auparavant, elle enseignait Introduction to Applied Psychology (PSY 1102).
