Biographie

Je suis diplômée de l'Université McGill, récipiendaire d'un baccalauréat en science avec spécialisation en psychologie (2003). En septembre 2003, j'ai accepté le poste de coordonnatrice au Laboratoire de recherche sur la sexualité humaine à l'Université d'Ottawa. J'ai collaboré dans une étude qui explorait la volonté de la part des clients de dévoiler des problèmes de nature sexuelle lors de consultations psychologiques, de même que la prévalence de dysfonction sexuelle chez les clients qui se présentent pour ces services à une clinique de psychologie communautaire.

J'ai complété un doctorat en psychologie clinique à l'Université d'Ottawa, en 2012. Ma recherche de thèse examinait les réponses physiologiques et émotionnelles aux stimuli sexuels des femmes avec le vaginisme ou la douleur sexuelle. J'ai aussi exploré les fonctions sexuelles, le comportement et la cognition des femmes ayant un vaginisme perpétuel. Je suis aussi intéressée à explorer le rôle des craintes et de l'anxiété dans le développement et le maintien du vaginisme. 

En plus de la recherche sur la santé sexuelle, depuis 2008, j'ai été impliquée dans l'évaluation de programme à travers le Centre de recherche sur les services éducatifs et communautaires (CRSEC), de l'Université d'Ottawa. Je suis présentement une associée de recherche au CRSEC, et je continue de faire des programmes d'évaluations ainsi que de la recherche sur les sans-abri.
